Clayton has served as the worship pastor at Hill Country Bible Church in Austin, TX since 2010.

After fully devoting his life and music to Jesus Christ at the age of 19, he began using his talents to point others to the love of God through biblical, meaningful and transcendent times of worship.   Previous to his move to Austin, Clayton served on staff and led worship at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX with Pastor Joel Osteen.  He has recently partnered with the Billy Graham Evangelical Association in leading worship for several of their ongoing annual events.

Also a singer/songwriter, Clayton currently performs in music venues throughout Austin, sharing a message of hope through his love for Alt-Country and Indie Folk music.  He has shared the stage with several Grammy and Dove award winning artists over the past 20 years and continues to perform in countries all over the world.

Clayton is the founder and director of the Austin Sound Exchange, a global missions music initiative that equips and sends out local Austin artists to share the Gospel through music.  Clayton also serves as the worship and music director for the yearly city-wide Good Friday service at the Frank Erwin Arena in downtown Austin, hosting and leading worship along-side guest artists such as Michael W. Smith, Kirk Franklin, Kevin Max (DC Talk), the Newsboys, and For King And Country.
